biography

PREACH3R aka Yoso Fka  PreacherMafioso was raised in Surulere, Lagos, his musical foundation runs deep. As a child, his father exposed him to iconic vinyl recordings — Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Kool & The Gang, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Alpha Blondy, Bongos Ikwue etc. Older cousins later introduced him to his earliest hip-hop influences, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony & Jay-Z.
Shaped by this convergence as a Chorister, Afromusic & contemporary urban styles, Yoso crafted his own distinct genre AfroVogue — a sophisticated blend of Afromusic grooves infused with Motown soul, reggae, & hip-hop (sometimes through-composed). A Harvard Business School alumnus & Grammy Voting Member, he’s drawn acclaim for a sound shaped by influences as varied as Lighthouse Family, Tracy Chapman, Lagbaja, Blakky, Majek, & 2Baba.
In 2013, he relocated to the US & released his debut American single, “Invincible” (feat. Raspy), chronicling the challenges of that move. His debut album, , featuring the hit track “,” received airplay across Africa and rotation on MTV, Trace, SoundCity, & HipTV. His latest album  was released in Aug 7 2026
Yoso’s signature vocals and songwriting draw from faith, love, struggle, and mortality — over the years, he has emerged as a truly unique voice, forging new creative sound  on the world stage.

About Me

Raised in Lagos, forged by loss, PREACH3R learned to turn ache into arrangement. Every hook is a promise kept to the kid who had nothing but rhythm. Survival gave him grit; craft gave it shape.
Impact isn’t how hard you shout; it’s how long it stays. PreacherMafioso writes for replay value and real life—music built to breathe in clubs, cars, and quiet rooms at 2 a.m. Less rush, more residue. He trades crowd-pleasing blasts for pocket, pause, and precision—melodies that sit low, lyrics that cut high. You don’t just hear it; it lingers in your step after the song stops.
